GoURL is a new service developed by
Zenvision Inc.
to put the squeeze on long website URLs and to assist users with creating shorter and more manageable URL links. Sign up for a GoURL member and enjoy additional benefits, such as even shorter URLs. Creating a GoURL is a simple two step process: 1. Enter the long URL. 2. Click on the "Generate GoURL" button. If you enter your eMail address, you will be able to send yourself an email of all your personalized GoURLs by clicking on the "Remind Me" button below. |

How does this thing work?
Lets say you and your friends will be attending an event at GM Place in Vancouver. To make
sure that everyone can find the location, you searched Mapquest and was given the following link: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=CA&addtohistory=&formtype=address&searchtype =address&cat=&address=&city=&state=&zipcode=V6B6G1 However, long URLs like this are often incorrectly interpreted by various email programs. You would much rather send them a shorter link... Possibly something like: http://gourl.ca?gmplace Try it for yourself! Enter an URL below and then click on the "Generate GoURL" button. |
